Heather Stuart
Chief Executive Officer
My early career was in local government, working in community development and regeneration, European and external affairs, and cultural and community services. Since then my roles have spanned both the public and private sectors including the Scottish Government and starting new businesses. The common threads throughout my career are culture, community and change.
As well as being a member of the Institute of Directors, Board positions include the King’s Theatre Kirkcaldy, Vice Chair of Pitlochry Festival Theatre, and former Chair of VOCAL, the national association of culture and leisure managers. In 2017 I was delighted to be recognised at the Scottish Women’s Awards for my contribution to arts and culture.

I take a values-based, innovative and coaching orientated approach to life and business. A natural connector of ideas, I thrive on challenge and have significant experience of leading organisational change across a broad spectrum of services. Passionate about creativity and culture and their impact on all aspects of our lives, I relish the opportunity to push thinking and explore new, creative, and courageous ways of steering a purposeful course through complex and shifting agendas.
Dallas Mechan
Manager for Museums, Archives & Galleries
Born and educated in Dundee, now living in Edinburgh, it’s probably fair to say I was made in Fife.
Since moving from Architecture to Museums, I have spent over 30 years working with amazing people and wonderful collections. The opportunity to discover and share people’s stories through them every day is a privilege.
Joanne Tierney
Operations Manager
I have nearly 30 years’ experience in operations, heath and safety and HR gained in different industries over the years, from retail to property to banking and finance to architectural visualisation – all of which I loved. I am inspired by people every day and how our efforts can make a positive difference to the experience of those around us, whether it be our clients, customers or colleagues. I live in the West of Scotland with my husband, 2 amazing teenagers and slightly batty Parson’s Terrier.
Karen Taylor
Partnerships and Creative Development Manager
I love being busy – involved in events here at the Trust, or in my community but I also love to curl up with a good book, get lost in a movie, or day dream on a beach. All experiences that are good for the soul.
James Marshall
Transitional Catering Manager
I have 3 real passions in my life; my family, my work, my volunteering. I work to support my family and I volunteer to support my community. All of this brings me joy and great fulfilment.
Laura Crielly
Marketing and Audience Development Manager
With over 20 years of theatre, marketing and operational management including 6 years as Marketing Manager for ONFife, I am delighted that my role is expanding its focus on customer engagement right across the Trust, ensuring customers are at the heart of everything we do.
June Souter
Libraries Service Development Manager
Librarian by day, crafter by night. Having gone from Library Assistant right up to Service Development Manager I’m passionate about the lifetime role of the library and about helping ONFife Libraries to ‘Connect, Discover, Grow’.

My name is Verdi and I have been Programme Manager since April this year but I have almost 20 years’ experience of programming theatre in Fife.
